Title:  Claudette’s Christmas Wine Dunkers    

 

Ingredients:

 

2 Cubes softened margarine

2 cups sugar

3 tbsp whiskey

6 eggs

51/2 cups flour

1 tbsp. Baking powder

1 cup nuts (chopped)

 

Directions:

 

Cream sugar and margarine and then add whiskey.  Add eggs one at a time and then anise oil.  Add baking powder to flour.  Mix all ingredients together and add nuts.  The resulting dough will be very sticky.

 

Refrigerate dough for at least two hours.

 

Divide dough into 5 parts.  Form each part into a log shape on a cookie sheet and bake for twenty minutes at 375 degrees.

 

Remove from oven and slice.
