Ingredients:
Cake Ingredients
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 ½ stick Parkay margarine
1 cup water
4 tablespoons cocoa
½ cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon soda
2 eggs (beaten)
2 teaspoons vanilla
Frosting Ingredients
½ cup Parkay margarine
6 tablespoons milk
4 tablespoons cocoa
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
Measure sugar and flour and let stand in bowl. In a pan, melt and bring to a boil Parkay,
water, and cocoa. Then pour over sugar
and flour mixture. Stir and add in
buttermilk, soda, vanilla and beaten eggs.
(Batter will be thin.) Pour
batter into lightly greased jelly roll pan (approximately 15x10x1 inches).
Cook ingredients until bubbly, stirring constantly to
prevent scorching. Add 1 pound powdered
sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional).
Spread frosting on cooled cake.
